LAWS and Wildlife


LAWS is not licensed to handle wildlife but as a service to the public we are able to accept injured or orphaned species of wildlife. After analysis of each unique case and consultation with appropriate specialists, LAWS will determine the best course of action for surrendered wildlife:

1. Transfer to a licensed Wildlife Rehabilitation Center within 24 hours.
2. Release back into the wild within 1 km from where it was found.
3. Euthanize by a licensed veternarian if injuries are serious and life-threatening.
