Page 1 2

All LAWS dogs are now kept up to 7 days for behavioural and temperament assement prior to adoption with a view to finding it the best possible home. If you spot a dog that interests you please fill in our pre-adoption questionnaire indicating the dog's name. We will then add that questionnaire to the dog's file and the successful applicant will be contacted when a suitable match found. We always try to match the dog's temperament and trait characteristics to the applicants home. Please be as honest as possible to ensure the best match.

  A Little About The Dogs
Buster
Rottweiller
Black/Tan
Male (Neutered)
2 years old
Buster is a two-year-old male Rottweiller with a commanding presence. Although he looks intimidating, anyone familiar with the Rottweiller breed knows that they can be gentle giants. Originally bred as guard dogs, the Rottweiller can appear imposing at first glance. Buster is exceptionally strong and he will need work in walking on a leash. Obedience training is a must for a dog of this size and strength. Potential adopters should be familiar with the breed and have experience in training, previous ownership and have a lifestyle suited to the demands of a Rottweiller. Buster is an intelligent dog who is eager to find a loving friend with which to spend his days.

Tucker
Hound X
Chestnut/White
Male (Neutered)
2 years old
As stray dog awaiting a home, Tucker recently participated in the Smiths Falls Santa Clause Parade. Without a doubt, Tucker was the star of the show, howling his way through the parade route ensuring that every eye was cast on the LAWS group. This adorable Hound mix has personality plus and everyone who meets him absolutely adores him. Tucker would do well with a large family where he could participate in fun activities. Mr. Personality is certain to keep everyone entertained and smiling. Tucker is fine with other dogs and would probably do well with cats too. The Hound breed is knowing for following its nose, so a fenced yard is a must. Tucker requires an experienced owner, with the committment to continue with his training.

Harley
Shepard X Sharpei
Tan / white
Female (Spayed)
4 years old
Poor Harley! She was returned to the shelter after a few years, because her owner couldn't keep her.

Harley has a beautiful tan coat with a white bib and collar, and glamourous black eyeliner around her eyes.

Harley is an exuberant, affectionate dog who, with more training, would be a loyal ocmpanion.

Harley needs to go to a home where she is the only pet, and a fenced back yard is recommended.
Arrived:  Dec, 2009
Duke
Shepard /Hound
Black and Tan
Male (Neutered)
3 years old
This handsome young dog loves to run and play. While Duke still needs some on-leash training, he will reward his new owner with loyalty and love.

He has an exceptionally sweet face, and can't wait for his forever home!
Arrived:  Jan, 2010
Baily
Black Lab Mix
Black
Female (Spayed)
2.5 years old
This good-natured black Labrador Retriever mix dog came to LAWS as a surrendered pet. Her previous owners did not have time to spend with her, and as a result, when left alone inside the home, Baily experienced separation anxiety and became destructive. We feel tht given time, training and lots of love, Baily will become more secure and adapt well to a new adoptive home. Her new owners may find that crate training Baily will help her feel safe when she is left alone.
Arrived:  Feb, 2010
