We are almost done!
Well it has been a while since our last construction update but we have some great news to report about our new cat wing. We are almost done!
Our dedicated project team was hoping to have our renovation completed for kitten season this spring, but like all construction projects, we had some delays and had to adjust our project schedule accordingly.
As of this week, we have finished installing the FRP panels, we're installing the new flooring and are ready for the electrical work to start. Once the floors are in, we can put in the sinks and hook up the HVAC. Check out these photos to see some of the amazing progress by our team of volunteers and stay tuned for some videos next week.

The new facility will have 7 large and 3 small rooms, a new staff lunch room and storage/utility room.
All this work wouldn't be possible without the support of our great community and our exceptional team of volunteers. A huge thank you to everyone for making this happen. This will allow us to save more furry lives.

We are so excited about these changes and we can't wait for everyone to see our new facility.
Traditional construction programmes can be difficult to interpret when multiple activities overlap across different locations. Exploring BIM construction sequencing provides insight into how 4D BIM can link model elements with scheduled activities. Teams can use the resulting visualisation to understand the planned sequence and relationships between different work packages. This can make complex programmes easier to communicate. It also provides another way to review whether the planned sequence is practical.

I came across xcvvstore while reading through some discussions and decided to take a quick look. I haven’t spent much time exploring the site yet, but the layout seemed straightforward and easy to navigate. I prefer websites that keep things simple rather than trying to fit too much information onto one page.
The renovation progress shows how important clear information and coordination can be when several construction stages need to happen in sequence. ISO 19650 part 6 offers a useful perspective on organizing health and safety information throughout a project lifecycle. This kind of structured approach can support smoother coordination when different teams are involved.
